This application offers a straightforward approach to utilizing your Mac's display as an ambient lighting source. The setup process is intuitive: your iPhone functions as the remote control, while the Mac's screen acts as the light emitter.

You can project full-screen colors on your Mac and adjust the brightness conveniently from your iPhone. This functionality enables a variety of creative applications, such as using the setup as a softbox for photography, illuminating subjects with colored light, or experimenting with long exposure photography to blend and enhance color effects. Additionally, it serves as an ambient light to set different moods by changing room illumination colors.

The system requires the companion Mac application "RoomColors," which is available for free from the Mac App Store or at http://codexbit.com/roomcolors. Once installed, simply launch the app on your Mac. When both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, the iPhone will automatically recognize and connect to the Mac without the need for manual configuration involving IP addresses or port settings.
